  2.                Smart10 is intended for use with the X10 Powerhouse CP290
  3.           computer interface.  This interface can be programmed from a
  4.           personal computer and will maintain and execute up to 128 timer
  5.           events.  These events can be set for specific times and days of
  6.           the week.  The controller has a span of only one week, and does
  7.           not have the concept of sunrise and sunset.  The software which
  8.           comes with the controller is somewhat clumsy to use if you wish
  9.           to define more than a few events.

  11.                Smart10 was devised to overcome the limitations of the CP290
  12.           and its supplied software.  It can maintain a year's calendar of
  13.           events.  You can use Sunrise and Sunset as times.  (You don't
  14.           have use them as exact time, you can add or subtract time from
  15.           them.)  Events can be conditioned to occur (or not to occur) if
  16.           it is Dark (or Light), between dates you have specified, or added
  17.           on command line parameters to the Smart10 program.

  19.                There is an "immediate" command mode (run from the command
  20.           line) whereby you can issue direct or delayed commands and cancel
  21.           pending events.  Two programs are included to help you automate
  22.           your AUTOEXEC.BAT files.  These are CHKTIME and DSTIME.  CHKTIME
  23.           compares the computer's date and time with target date and times.
  24.           ERRORVALUE is set if there is a match.  DSTIME is used to adjust
  25.           your computer clock for daylight savings time.  With Smart10 and
  26.           these programs you can completely automate maintainence of your
  27.           CP290.

  29.           Smart10 is distributed as shareware.

  31.                Shareware is commercial software distributed in an
  32.           unconventional manner.  Shareware isn't free.  If you use it
  33.           regularly, the authors expect compensation.  Shareware allows you
  34.           to evaluate the product before you purchase it.  If you use this
  35.           product, you are obliged to register it.

  37.                Copies of Smart10 may be freely distributed in its
  38.           self-extracting form (SMRTEN.EXE.)  No fee, charge or other
  39.           compensation may be accepted for the distribution of Smart10.
  40.           Except, Public Domain Disk Vendors and BBS(s) may charge a
  41.           nominal fee for distribution of the program.  Such charges must
  42.           clearly be labelled distribution charges and the recipient of
  43.           Smart10 must be informed that the distribution fee does not
  44.           relieve the payment of the registration fee for Smart10.

  56.                                    longitudes.  If you don't know the
  57.                                    latitude and longitude of your city,
  58.                                    pick one that is close by from this
  59.                                    list.
